The Skills Gap

We’ve all noticed “main stream” media, the blogosphere, and traditional business media taking up the discussion on the perils and opportunities of High Frequency Trading (HFT).  One element that seems to be missing in these discussions is the appreciation of the important differences between “Trading” and “Investing.”  Much of the debate seems to center on the “fairness” involved with HFT trading, but rarely on any potential impacts on Investing.
