Selby Jennings Helps Raise SGD700 000 for Singapore Cancer Society
On July 22nd 2012, global recruitment firm Selby Jennings from the Phaidon Capital Group, participated in the Singapore Cancer Society’s annual race against cancer.
For the past 47 years, the Society has helped countless needy patients and pushed the cancer cause in Singapore through its many programmes and services.
19 consultants from the local office in Singapore showed their support for the charity and took part in one of the 5, 10, or 15 kilometre races.
James Brown, Regional Head of Selby Jennings APAC said, “We are thrilled to have taken part in this fantastic race and to have supported such a worthy, local charity.”
Brown added, “Running in this sort of heat is not easy so we are all proud to have completed the challenge and to have played a part in improving the lives of people affected by cancer.”
Phaidon Capital plans to continue to support good causes such as the Singapore Cancer Society and take part in many more fundraising events.
Alexandra Krysiak, Head of Business Growth said, “Our office in Singapore has been open for a year now and we have found it extremely rewarding to be involved with the community and to support such excellent local causes.”
The Singapore Office ultimately managed to raise a total of SGD2400 for the Singapore Cancer Society and would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who donated and supported them.

The Singapore Cancer Society was established in 1964 by individuals from the Rotary Club of Singapore West, the Lions Club and Jaycees, and was inaugurated by the then Minster of Health, Mr Yong Nyuk Lin.
